- For the rain you really don't have to do much (may be wash it and wax it for the wet weather). But if you want to store it away, that is a different question. You have to (1) drain the carb of fuel. (2) drain the fuel or use StaBil http://www.goldeagle.com/sta-bil/ (3) change your oil (4) squirt few drop of engine oil into your pistons (5) raise the bike - and remove the air in the tire (6) spray down all metal surface with WD 40 to prevent rust Good Luck...
- I fyou mean driving precautions, you need; 1 water proof clothing,(boots, pants, gloves...) 2 visor cleaner (some gloves have this) while driving 1 keep longer safety distance, 2 avoid sudden brakes, use gear down to slow 3 check/dry elecrical connections often, keep water away 4 keep helmet airvents close 5 if possible park under cover (keep off the rain) 6 make yourself seen; wear bright colors, esp reflective clothing, use reflectors at the back of the motor cycle, turn on lights) 7 brekae before you need to stop, this will slow the driver behind and make the safety distance at your back, 8 avoid sharp turnings, slow down before you reach the turning points, 9 be more carefull :))
- For the first few days after it starts raining stay off the center of the lanes. The oil that has been there lefts up and becomes real slick. The entire road surface is covered with oil, but the center is where its thickest
