How do I find out what country my Vespa SuperSport was originally sold in?

I have the serial number. The original decals are all in Italian. The bike did not have a battery, which I understand was the way it was sold in certain countries. Is their any comprehensive list of Vespa serial numbers I can use to do some sleuthing?
