remember that old motorbike game on the old sega console?

when i was young i remember playing a sega game and it was heaps old, all i remember was that you start off as a motorbike and ur just driving up this road, the view is birds eye view. and you can shoot bullets up ahead of you and can collect letters on the road, as you collect letters you can turn into this red car and shoot more bullets. towards the end of the first stage was like this battleship in water which was the boss. thats all i remember i would love to re see it again. anyone know?
