VN Scooter

Why do fat people alway use the electric scooters at Wal Mart and other stores?

I thought the scooters were for the elderly, handicap and injured people, but the only people I see in them are just plain FAT. If they would walk a little maybe they wouldn't be so fricking FAT. Are they just lazy or what??

Public Comments

  1. most are lazy.
  2. usually when fat people use the carts it is because they are so morbidly obese that they physically CAN'T walk around the store. sick, ain't it?
  3. i bet u are one of those bones girls, they dont want to walk!! let them! plus if they like being like that, u've got nothing to say!!
  4. Because most stores have banned "Heelies"
  5. I agree. And these fattys get to use the handicap parking so they won't have to walk too far. The government helps them by giving them food stamps and putting them on disability. That way the only time they have to go anywhere is to Wal-Mart to get more food. They'll be OK though. We pay there medical expenses too.
  6. There are many fat people who have in addition to being heavy----they have joint problems with their knees or hips. They may get winded when they try to walk. The scooters are intended for anyone who needs help with walking; Younger, heavier people should be encouraged to walk an not rely on the scooter to get around. It may take them longer, but save the scooters for the folks who really need them
  7. some of us get way too much inner thigh burn walkin around ... gets painful after a while
  8. ppl use them because they get too tired or whatever ppl are rude in store too i bet if they dont use the cart other ppl run into them cuz there not walkin as fast
  9. I agree, some of them are just LAZY, I had to use one of those things at the grocery store (had surgery) and I was even embarrassed to use it.
  10. Do to the excessive weight on the knees for years and years their cartilage has deteriated making it painful for them to walk. They have basically allowed their weight to cripple them over the years. It's sad. And due to all of the strains that the excess weight has put on their organs they can't take most of the arthritis medicine on the market. I really think that their family doctors need to get more proactive about their patients. Send them to a nutritionist, and give them schedules for local water aroebics (it's easy on the joints,) My MIL has many problems from her weight. The doctor warned her over the years, but never provided her with the proper tools and information for her to get healthy. That and she lacks basic self control.
  11. I believe for some people its not just lazy but that they don't really walk around and trying to walk around the store (typically about an hourish) it too much for them. Others I think it is being lazy and personally I think the shouldn't use the scooters, lean on the cart as you walk. I work at a wholesale club and most members use them because they need to. But there is this one women who barely fits in one, always speeds around getting mad at anyone in her way and gets two or three things from the bakery every week.
  12. My experience is that if someone is using a scooter, they may not be able to walk due to their weight. That does not mean they are lazy. It is just a reflection of their current condition. At my current weight of 620, I have been offered by my director that our company will buy me a motorized scooter if I want one. I have declined one since I enjoy walking, even if my walk is a slower waddle. At some point if I keep gaining weight, I may have to use one but right now I do not. I have also been offered by my bus drivers to use the hydraulic lift to get on and off the bus but prefer to step up and down myself even if I am slower and have to be careful since I cannot see my feet. Try not to be critical of those who use the scooters. They are handling their situation the best they can.
