Scooters...?
...anyone remember those scooters you used to get in the 80's early 90's? They had mag wheels like a bmx and tyres that you could pump up. They had a fiberglas deck you could stand on and also stunt pegs. I think they also had breaks but i'm not sure. Anyway I have been trying to hunt one down on the tintertwat but I am having no joy. I think they might have been called "scootec" but i'm not sure. Anyone with any info, and who is willing to impart that info would go right to the top of my Christmas card list!!! Thanks very muchly

- well my very first suggestion would be ebay, anything anyone could ever want is on there, if they don't have one. ask your local bike place they should know were you could get one.
- i had one of these when i was young - we called them "scootexs". if you type in "scooter" on ebay and look in the outdoor toys section they have lots of scooters which are very similar.
- Yep, there's one in my garage, the kids love it. I think we found it in the trash in the alley one day, or at a garage sale, I forget. The frame has been bent from adults (not me) riding it, so there's barely any ground clearance. And the brake is broken / useless. But the tires still hold air. I went and looked at it, the logo says "Trendz" and there's a label, says "designed and mfg by Union Bicycle Co, NYC NY 11803, made in Taiwan" Good luck Scott
