I am 191cm / 6.2 feet tall and mulling over buying a Honda CBF 125. 1, Since I am that tall, wouldn't I just look like a pink elefant on a bycicle? Motorbike query. Honda 125 CBR? Hi all, I have recently passed my CBT and bought a Honda 125 CBR 2008 reg bike for a little toy at the weekends. Im wondering if anyone knows if i need to display an L plate at the front of this bike as there is nowhere for it to go. I have full uk driving license from 2004 and only a cbt so i know i need L plates. I have one on the back. (Is that sufficent enough). I dont even know if i can attach one to the front forks? It keeps insurance down, and safety UP. i've heard of Yamaha YZF-R15 but I googled it and it seems like its only in India? is that true? or what other types are there? Help whith kick start on honda ns 125? Hi,i got a motorbike of ebay and have problems kick starting it every morning.It is only kick start not electric.Every morning i have to bump start it.After i have bump started the bike it goes ok untill i switch engine of for over 1 hour then i have to bump start it again.The battery is fine,Replaced the spark plug twice.Engine cut of switch is on run,In neutral.Has anybody got any ideas??thanks How do i check the compresion???

Why are these English teenage 'gangsters' so hard on their restricted motorbikes? They think they are really mean on their 50cc scooters and restricted 125's. When we were 16 in SA we had Honda 750Four and Kawi 900's etc. Why do they think they are so hard racing around on these scooter-bikes, and why is everybody so scared of them? They are jealous that they are immature and cant ride proper bikes, so they vandalize other peoples bikes. They vandalized my immaculate CD750FZ! Idiots!

125 motorcycle suitable for 5'1? Okay, I'm 17 in March and currently hating my love for motorbikes!! Im 5'1 and having A LOT of trouble finding a bike i can actually reach the floor on, my dream bike is a honda varadero.... I want to make it more power full in the first gear. I don't mind loosing speed as long as it has more power in first. I am considering putting on a performance pipe and new sprockets. can someone please help me with what pipe and and sprocket. Must i go bigger or smaller with the rear sprocket and will the combination of the pipe and sprockets make it more powerful to pop wheelies? Thanks

Hello everyone i have been biking for four years now as i do motocross and thought i would get a scooter for the road as i would go to school on it and go to my local gym and shops etc. I was looking into a 50cc scooter but when i phoned up a guy for lessons he said i would get bored of it after a week its very slow and i would be better off getting a 125 i know there are two different engines a two stroke and four stroke is the insurance higher on a two stroke than a four? Since he said i could get a 125cc i was looking into Buying a Honda cbr 125 that,s a four stroke would the insurance be high on that? He also said i could get a kind of cruiser honda 125 i think the honda cb5 looks really cool but i,ll have to sit on them and see the guy said as well i can do i course which gives me a reduced insurance rate and when i pass my test my insurance will go down again. hello i have a shineray gy 125cc off road motorbike but i cant get it to move when in gear ? hello i have a shineray gy 125cc off road motorbike it has the same engine as the honda cg 125 but i cant get it to move when in gear. If i put it on a stand then start the engine pull in the cluch and select any gear then let the cluch out the wheel will start spinning. It will get faster as i turn the throttle but if i then put it on the ground and do the same thing it will not move please help thank you ?

motorbike mileage question!? i m soon buying a motorbike, and was wondering. when buying a second hand bike, how many miles is too many on a 125 (ish) cc bike??Lets use a honda cg 125 as an example..would it be wise to get one with 40,000 miles on the clock? what about a honda c90? Motorbike Insurance Help!!! Please!!? Im 16 and live in Ireland and have a provisional A1 license and im getting a road legal motorbike soon. I rang up quinn direct yesterday and got an insurance price for a 1999 Honda Rebel 125, Fully Comp. Bikes worth €1500. they quoted me €1685.70 and got the same quote from AON and there quote was €2575.. could anybody please tell me how much dearer it would be to get insured on lets say a honda cbr125 or aprilia rs125?? or maybe a honda nsr 125? i know the insurance will go up quite dramatically but would anyone have a rough estimate??

What bike license do I need? (UK)? Let me stat by saying, I'm 21 years old and have got a full car driving license which I have had for 4 years. I drive a 1.6 Ford focus I'm interested in getting a 125cc motorbike (Honda CBR 125r takes my fancy), for my journeys to work which I assume would save me money on petrol. What I want to know is what kind of bike test do I need to take for a 125cc motorbike? I'm told I need to just take a C.B.T and that should be fine for me to drive a 125. Is this true? Also what would my options be for the future, any possibilites of a bigger bike? I know for bigger bikes there is a different test to take. I also heard a rumor that if I take a C.B.T and have a 125 for 2 years, that automatically qualifies me to ride a bigger bike? I'm not sure this is true though. Can anyone sum up my options for what I have to do hear in the U.K?

Real Biker...? Getting a bit fed up with the 'real bikers' looking down their noses at me because I am on a Honda Innova 125 (step thru). I enjoy riding it tho of course it is totally gutless. It has two wheels and an engine and so its a motorbike, no?.....Actually I have been riding bikes for 30+ years and I've worked for years as a courier, I have raced em too ...so I think of myself as a biker...I just cant afford anything better at the mo (4 kids, struggling business etc). carburetor trouble motorbike? i have carburetor trouble on my honda xlr 125 when i drive it throttle all the way back it seems like the fuel is running out the engine dies and then picks back up again i think its something do do with the carb. too much air or too much fuel any ideas

motorbike engine overheats,rpm go crazy!? hello. i use a honda cbr 125,which i tuned with a few things: new valvehead-piston,new carb keihin 28mm,a boreup mallossi 67mm,camshaft 310,crankshaft +3mm and to work this a new extend gasket a little bigger so that the piston do not crash the valve. now i have this problem: once i start the bike everything seems to work ok,revs are fine,temp ok,but once i drive it for a while,engine goes overheated,and revs go crazy! above 4000 in nutral! i don't know where to look.have checked the water in radiator it seems ok,the carb looks ok...also after some revs i noticed that there was a little pumping like it couldn't go faster... also i saw white smoke for a while coming from the exaust....

need help identifying a motorbike? i have been bought a bike for xmas, its an import (has kph on clock) but i am having trouble finding the right bike on the net (x-referencing parts) its a "urban dz-125" but all the bikes i keep finding online are of road bikes, and this looks more like a honda cg-125!! i have the v5, so everything is in order, its just finding the right looking bike.. any help would b greatly appreciated, oh and dont worry about the learner legal import power stuff, i had my licence before any of that came in! lol sorry, just spotted a typo.. i meant off road bikes, rather than of road bikes, the bike in question is a road bike, but all the dz 125's i find online are off-road

1st Motorbike which one? I've recently turned 25 and i have just got my driving license, i also want to get a motorbike. Now I'm not into something that's too powerful like the 1000cc BIG, WIDE-BODY, HEAVY sports tourers, i wanna get something smaller (ENGINE WISE) and also i love the classic retro look here are some examples >>Yamaha YBR 125 >>Honda CBF 250 was going to go 4 the Yamaha YBR 125, its 125cc engine would be perfect but after reading some reviews its seems i need something a little more powerful. The Yamaha's top speed is only 55 Mph and it struggles when going uphill and the Honda CBF 250 top speed is 65Mph. I want something that has the retro look of these bikes but something that has around 300/400 cc Engine and can do motorway travel with ease i cant seem to find any models that fit this category CHEERS :-)

First motorbike must be no more than 125cc? I am 17 next June and I really want to get into motorcycling, I want to start riding ASAP, I want to know a good bike to get for a complete beginner, what I need is a bike for getting around town but one that's comfortable in case I do need to take the odd long journey. I would prefer not to have a sport bike as such but a street bike like a Honda CBF 125 for example is fine. I live in the UK and will be 17 next June so it must be no more than a 125 (unfortunately) and I need a good motorbike to get started on, It will be for town riding with maybe one or 2 longer distance rides, not too far though it needs to be comfortable really so not really a sports bike just a street one will do. I need a bike that is cheap, easy to look after, and good for beginners, as I said I live in the UK so it needs to be no more than a 125cc and no more than 15bhp I think

i need some help identifying a motorbike? i have an "urban dz-125", which looks like a honda cg-125, with the coffin tank, but when i look the bike up online, all i find are off-road bikes, nothing that looks like the one i have, i know it is an import, the kph on the speedo gives that away. all i wanted to know was a bit about the bike!! oh and dont worry about the import being a problem with bhp and learner legal stuff, i did me part 2 in 92!! :D many thanks in advance!!

how do i 'lock' my motorbike? for those that know around the ignition slot you have 'on, off and lock' -it says push down and turn to lock' i have just bought a honda cbr 125 -06 plate- problem is i don't know how to put the bike into 'lock' mode, i push the key in and turn it... but nothing happens, *additional information -the bike has had an alarm imobiliser fitted to it, -could it be that the ignition unit needs replacing? If it is something as simple as straightening up the wheel -or turning it. please state , much appreciated AMENDMENT when i say 'nothing happens' i mean the key gets half way between off and lock, and i can't pull it out.

Thinking about changing my Motorbike. But don't know what to get.? I have a kawasaki bn 125 eliminator 1999 model at the min, i dont really like it because its a cruiser and i am wanting more of a trialy/Scramy bike, the 3 bikes i have got in mind are the honda city fly 125, yamaha dt125r, and the yamaha tw, i have read that the city fly is an all around average bike which u can get for around 500 - 600 quid, (my price range) the yamaha DTR is a lot more expensive but they look awesome. and the yamaha tw is bowt 500/600 but are suppose to be quite slow. ANy advice?? on them bikes............ other bikes that are good and in my price range.... i havnt passed my full bike test, only CBT. (UK)

A2 restricted licence... What motorbike shoud I buy? Just about to take my A2 test and get rid of this damn 125. Looking to buy a secondhand bike that I can ride with my A2 test... I get that the output must be under 25kw (not that I really know what that means!) but can anyone tell me which bikes would be good buys to have restricted to within the confines of this licence. I want one with upright handlebars, nothing too crazy or sporty, I don't ride like a maniac! So far good suggestions are Honda CB500, Kawasaki GPZ 500, ER 500. Anyone got any more ideas? Also, is 500cc the highest cc I can go with the restricted A2? Any info greatfully received.

Appropriate motorbike working as a courier? Hi, Im currently studying to be a motorcycle courier and dont know what motorbike to get. I like alot but what kind of motorbike would be appropriate for the job. Bikes i have thought about so far. Which motorbike make would you buy? I am going to buy a bike for the summer (if we get one lol!) and I am looking for something between 100-200cc, I have a full bike licence so I want something me and my 11yr son can do trips of 20-30miles. I was thinking something about 175cc but couldn't really find on ebay etc..just a load of 125's some of the manufacturers names I'd never heard of Sym xs125k for example. So if anyone has any knowledge/ideas/suggestion I would be grateful. My present thoughts are on a Honda CG125 which was on the go years ago when I was riding(I'm 48) but I am curious for your help if you can please. Thanks
