Recently, all around London, I have noticed there are many people on mopeds and motorbikes, that have maps taped to a pieice of plastic above the handlebars. They are not pizza delivery people, or seem to be experienced couriers. Does anyone know what they are doing? Are they training for something? Are they rubbish spies? Thanks.

Do CRASHBARS help protect you in accident, or do mirrors save lives, and if so why arent they compulsory in England? Yamaha Diversion 900 for sale. 1995, but garaged from new and still less than 20,000 miles. That's what comes from spending all your bleedin time in Afghanistan and Iraq!! The bike is in good nick, with new tyres and new exhaust. It's been regularly serviced (FSH), and comes complete with a luggage rack and two big Givi panniers. What else? Oh, yes, heated grips, trickle charger for the battery, Datatool alarm and Datatagged. And of course it has a hassle-free shaft drive. I'll even throw in a tankbag for free. I live in Portsmouth/Southampton area of the South coast (UK) and will only be around for a couple more weeks before heading back to Iraq. Main reason for sale is emigration next year to Australia. Any idea on the law regarding mini motorbikes? For the last few weeks we've been plagued by young kids riding mini motos up and down our street, either on the pavement or on the road. None of the kids (the oldest about 16, the youngest 10ish) wear helmets, they zoom from the pavement, in between parked cars onto the road and back again without any heed paid to pedestrians or motorists - I don't know how they've managed to escape serious accident so far. Why are motorbikes so fuel inefficient if they weigh so little and have comparably small engine capacity? I have a 600cc bike and it does about 35mpg; it does 20% less if I ride like Barry Sheen. I have a 12 year old car with a 1800cc engine and it also does 35mpg. The car weighs a lot more than the bike and has an engine that's 3 times the size. Why doesn't the bike give better fuel efficiency than the car? Is there a way to get more mpg out of the bike?

Why do people with loud cars and motorbikes rev the engines and take half an hour to pull out of their drives? It's annoying especially when you live next door to them.
